Atrium Gallery

 NOW  ONLY  ONLINE !!!

The original Atrium Gallery was located on the third floor of the San Francisco Shih Yu-Lang Central YMCA at 220 Golden Gate Avenue. It was created to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the branch, showcasing historic photographs from the YMCA archives as well as contemporary art by youth and adult members.

Our opening show, "Transitions: Connecting Past, Present, and Future" celebrated the past 100 years of history and the transition into a new era and new building. The gallery opened at our 100 year celebration party on June 30, and closed down on September 30th.

Selections from the Atrium Gallery are now available only online, but do not worry, all those fascinating historical pictures and texts are still around. They are packed away in storage while the Central YMCA is busy moving out of the old building. Until the new building is finished, the Central YMCA will operate from an interim site nearby. We hope that one day in the future, should funding and space become available, we will be able to bring back some of the historic photo displays which received such wonderful feedback.
